The main valves globe type is a diaphragm actuated, hydraulic operated and consisting of 4 compartments :-

b.Cover Assembly
c.Diaphragm Assembly
d.Intermediate chamber

The diaphragm is made of reinforced rubber (Buna –N) with good sharing resistance. The cover assembly and diaphragm assembly can be taken out very easily for replacement of parts and repair of the valve without removing the valve from the line.

The reinforced rubber is assembled between body and cover and acts as seated chamber into which line pressure and flow is introduced. The diaphragm stem assembly open, closed or modulate the valve depending upon the pressure and flow variation.

Valve opens fully when there is no pressure in the cover chamber.

Valve’s closes, when line pressure is directed into valve cover chamber, above diaphragm.

Valve’s modulates to the required function by installing a proper pilot system to the main valve.
